Combining your DNA and Gut
microbiome testing to create the
very first Dual DNA Testing Kit

We generate holistic insights from your DNA, and your gut
microbiome, that allow you to thoughtfully optimize your
diet and lifestyle

What you inherit:

Your DNA is the genetic code
that reveals your innate strengths,
weaknesses and potential risks.

What inhabits you:

Your gut microbiome is like your second
brain that guides bodily functions including
your mental health. It is the strongest
indicator of your overall health & wellness.

Going beyond your DNA

Your gut microbiome is composed of trillions
of bacteria - its a dynamic ecosystem in your
body created based on what you eat.

Our patient study yielded
promising results.

We worked with healthcare experts at JSS hospital (Mysuru, India) to provide a Parkinson’s patient with microbiome-based nutritional recommendations for enhanced health management. Significant improvements in microbial richness and diversity were observed after 12-weeks of the dietary intervention, along with clinical improvements (in specific motor and cognitive function measures).

This case study highlights the potential impact of microbiome modulation in Parkinson's disease management.

Research areas we
focus on:

The effect of a vast spectrum of foods and substrates on your gut microbiome composition

The effect of genetic variants on micronutrient and macronutrient levels, as well as food intolerances, allergies and metabolic response.

The interactions between host genome variations and gut bacteria

The science behind
your reports

Step 1

Your saliva sample is used to extract your DNA. Your DNA is your personal genome which is your source code. It holds all the information that your body needs to survive.

Step 2

A microarray or a chip ‘reads’ your DNA sample to generate the unique combinations of letters in your DNA sequence. This helps us study single-letter changes in your DNA code called Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms or SNPs. This is called SNP genotyping. We use SNP chips from Illumina, which is the gold standard in genotyping technology.

Step 3

Your stool sample is used to extract bacterial DNA i.e., the genetic material of the bacteria in your gut. Your Gut Microbiome is like your second genome, forming a dynamic ecosystem that is central to your health.

Step 4

Using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology from Illumina, we study bacterial DNA sequences to identify the different species of bacteria, their richness and abundance in your gut.

Step 5

Your data is processed by our in-house algorithms which profile biomarkers in your DNA and gut microbiome.

Step 6

We map the dual insights of your DNA + Gut Microbiome to our nutrition databases, which have over 500 foods and compounds, to identify your unique dietary requirements.

Step 7

Dietary recommendations best suited to your profile are used for formulating your final recommendations report.

Our knowledge base is constantly evolving as we continue to find connections between these microscopic beings (your gut bacteria) and the food we eat - and how they interact with each other. How they thrive matters because only then, we can.
